With two beautiful ballrooms and stylish interior, they can accommodate anyone needs.
Let’s not forget about the beautiful grounds, which are every wedding photographer in Aberdeen dream.
John and Seanne winter wedding celebration started exactly there.
So let’s have a closer look at this stunning The Marcliffe Hotel wedding.
Bridal Preparation
A couple of months ago I moved to Edinburgh, so I was thrilled to visit Aberdeen, which was my home for the last 12 years.
I arrive at The Marcliffe Hotel in the early morning of the last Sunday of January.
As we could expect, the weather was not very nice… it was very rainy and windy outside. But as an experienced wedding photographer, I knew that there are amazing spots inside the hotel.
I meet Seanne and her bridesmaids while they were getting ready, her beautiful makeup was done by her very talented sister Coreen and Laurie Hepburn did the stunning hair.
The bride was looking gorgeous in her wedding dress designed by Suzanne Neville and the bridesmaids were looking very elegant in a navy blue dresses.
Let’s not forget about the gorgeous Gucci shoes! They were one of my favourites parts of the bride’s outfit.
The Wedding at Marcliffe Hotel
The Marcliffe Hotel wedding can take place in one of the two ballrooms, or at the beautiful courtyard.
As they say ‘it’s a truly romantic wedding venue with picturesque grounds’. And let me tell you, as a wedding photographer in Aberdeen this is exactly what you want to hear.
The ballroom was beautifully decorated with the flowers by a company called Flowers with Flair.
They also did the stunning bouquets for the bride and her bridesmaids.
While we were waiting for the bride to arrive, you could feel a mixture of excitement and nerves strolling around.
The ceremony was quite an emotional filled with a mixture of tears and laughter.
After the vows and ring exchange, Seanne and John did something special to symbolise their love by literally ‘tying the knot’.
When the wedding ceremony finished, I took a newly married couple for a stroll around The Marcliff Hotel to take some beautiful wedding photographs.
Cutting the Cake and First Dance
The Marcliffe Hotel wedding is truly spectacular, with tasteful interior design and beautiful grounds you will find a lot of nice places for photographs.
Even on a rainy day, you are not going to have an issue to find a nice background to capture the day.
After the photographs were taken, it was time for the speeches, delicious dinner and dance.
And for dessert, the wedding party had a scrumptious wedding cake, made by ‘Cakes by Kirsty’
Conclusion
Seanee and John made a great choice by choosing The Marcliff Hotel for their wedding venue.
It was a very intimate and relaxed wedding with lots of friends and family.
It was amazing to be able to capture such precious moments that couples can cherish forever. I’m so glad to witness it all as a wedding photographer.
