Thainstone House Hotel Wedding: Gary & Lorna’s Autumn Celebrations
I was very fortunate to be chosen to shoot Lorna and Gary’s Thainstone House Hotel wedding.
This stunning setting is an excellent place for an autumnal celebration.
And as a wedding photographer in Aberdeen, I’m delighted to work around these beautiful country wedding venues.
Which as we all know are surrounded by stunning scenery.
Gary mentioned that beautiful grounds were really important to him when choosing a wedding venue.
Let’s take a closer look at this stunning Thainstone House Hotel wedding.
I’m sure you will all agree that Lorna was looking stunning.
The bride was delighted with her support team, which included: make-up artist Rachel Johns from The Room and hair by Elan Hair Design from Inverurie.
John Charles designed a very elegant dress for the big day.
The powder colour really suited Lorna and added sophistication to her look.
Lorna and Gary’s wedding took place at the end of October at the Registration Office in Inverurie.
The room was quite small but very bright and cosy, so perfect for an intimate wedding.
The wedding ceremony was very emotional, especially for Gary who could not hold his tears back.
Fortunately, Lorna’s positive attitude regained his smile very quickly.
After the ceremony, it was time to head back to Thainstone House Hotel to start the celebrations.
Whilst all the wedding guests were enjoying their drinks at this beautiful Thainstone House Hotel wedding, I took Lorna and Gary for a little stroll.
And it was just perfect, the sun was shining and the beautiful grounds were filled with the warm colours of autumn.
Personally, as a wedding photographer I was delighted.
At this time it was lovely to see that Lorna and Gary finally felt relaxed and enjoyed their beautiful day.
Reception & Cutting The Cake
The wedding was very intimate with just close family and friends around.
The reception room was decorated beautifully by Lorna herself.
And extra touches were added by flowers from Dolce Vita Flowers, who also made the stunning bouquet.
In addition to this, there was a delicious cake made by Couture Wedding Cakes by Sweetcheeks that everyone was looking forward to trying.
And one of the best parts of being a wedding photographer is to be able to listen to the speeches.
There are always some embarrassing stories to tell, which we all laughed about.
But to keep the perfect balance there are ones filled with emotions and love, which always sheds a few tears.
Lorna and Gary’s wedding was truly fantastic and enjoyed by everyone.
They both are very warm and friendly, and they made me feel like a part of the family.
All the people involved did an excellent job, with making this day even more perfect for the newly married couple.
I was honoured to photograph Lorna and Gary’s Thainstone House Hotel wedding.
And I wish them both the best of luck for the future.
