Duthie Park Winter Gardens Wedding: Evert & Julie’s Summer Celebrations
If you are planning a small intimate wedding, and wish to be surrounded by the most beautiful flowers, then a Duthie Park Winter Gardens wedding is certainly worth your consideration.
And that is exactly what Evert and Julie chose.
As a wedding photographer in Aberdeen I know that the weather might be challenging, but this time I didn’t have to worry about it.
In addition to being full of beautiful flowers, the Winter Gardens at Duthie Park are located inside a large glass house.
Which of course conveniently protects you from the elements.
Let’s take a closer look at this stunning wedding.
Wedding at the Duthie Park Winter Gardens
I arrived at Duthie Park Winter Gardens early in the afternoon.
The sky was blue and the place was filled with sunshine.
Evert and his family arrived shortly after.
Whilst we were waiting for the bride to appear, the atmosphere was a mixture of both excitement and nerves.
However, the wait was worth it, as Julie and her bridesmaids looked stunning.
Her sophisticated dress was from Midnight Elegance and suited her perfectly.
Julie’s hair was done by The Edge Hair and Beauty in Inverurie, and her make-up she did by herself.
Self-taught from Youtube tutorials, I’m sure you’ll agree she did an amazing job.
Julie’s mum also made the beautiful bouquets; clearly a family of many talents.
The ceremony was very emotional, filled with a poem and letters that the couple had written to each other.
To impress Evert even more, Julie said her vows in Dutch, which is Evert’s native language.
After the ceremony I took the newly married couple for a stroll around Duthie Park Winter Gardens, to take some beautiful wedding photographs.
Winter Gardens is a great venue to shoot at if you are a wedding photographer in Aberdeen.
First of all because of the beautiful flowers, and secondly because you don’t have to worry about the rain.
Mr. and Mrs. Koning had their private reception at Malmaison.
The champagne was chilled and waiting upon their arrival, as well as all of their guests.
Conclusion
Julie and Evert made a fabulous choice when they went for a Duthie Park Winter Gardens wedding.
I can honestly say that this was the most colourful wedding that I have ever photographed.
It is amazing to be able to capture such precious moments, that couples will cherish forever.
I’m so lucky to witness it all as a wedding photographer.
