Ardoe House Hotel Wedding: Martyn & Michelle’s Autumn Celebrations
If you have been lucky enough to attend an Ardoe House Hotel wedding, you will know that this is a wonderful place to get married.
Michelle and Martyn made a wise choice when they selected this stunning venue.
And I was very fortunate when they invited me to be their wedding photographer, especially given the number of talented wedding photographers in Aberdeen.
On the day of their celebrations, I arrived nice and early to capture Michelle getting prepared in the Ardoe House Hotel Bridal Suite.
I really love the atmosphere before a ceremony, it’s a mixture of excitement and nerves with everyone looking forward to the day ahead.
Bridal Preparation
As I’m sure you will agree Michelle and her bridesmaids looked stunning.
In part because of their excellent support team.
This included Laurie Livingston on hair and Mellisa Lynne Mcconnachie on make-up.
The dress was a Maggie Sottero from Brides Delight, and the shoes, a surprise gift from Martyn, were Manolo Blahnik’s.
Also worth mentioning is the spacious and practical Bridal Suite, one of the many benefits of an Ardoe House Hotel wedding.
The Wedding
Another benefit of an Ardoe House Hotel wedding is the Ogston ballrooms large windows.
They showcase the most incredible views over the Deeside valley.
Gorgeous flowers placed in candelabra teacups (Michelle’s hen party had an Alice in Wonderland theme) were displayed throughout the room, creating a charming and magical atmosphere.
Everything about the day was perfect, from the emotional ceremony to the beautiful music.
Even the sun came out, which if you are a wedding photographer in Aberdeen will know doesn’t always happen.
Michelle and Martyn bring out the best in each other, and with two beautiful daughters they really make a wonderful family.
All their wedding guests made me feel very welcome.
And I can honestly say that they are lucky to have such great people around them.
Some of their family members travelled from the other side of the world, to celebrate their special day.
And I’m so glad to have been a part of their Ardoe House Hotel wedding.
Cutting The Cake and First Dance
As the sun started to set, all that was left to do was cut the cake and enjoy the first dance.
Michelle and Martyn had chosen the White Doves as their band.
And as you can imagine, lots of drinking, dancing, and celebrating followed.
Conclusion
Michelle and Martyn’s Ardoe House Hotel wedding was truly spectacular.
It certainly made me glad I’m a wedding photographer in Aberdeen.
And that they trusted me to capture their special day.
Everyone involved had the most amazing time, and even the Scottish weather behaved allowing us to enjoy the outdoors.
My only wish was that the day didn’t have to come to an end.
