You don’t get a second chance to capture a truly unique moment. Put your trust in a fully qualified professional photographer, with years of experience at shooting weddings and portraits. My relaxed and natural approach will put you at ease, leaving you to enjoy the occasion, whatever it may be.
Hello, my name is Anna, and I am a fully qualified professional photographer based in Aberdeen. For as long as I can remember, art has been an important part of my life. I have always been passionate about creativity, from entering painting competitions to designing clothes. For me photography is not just a business; it’s an obsession.
My passion for photography comes from a desire to create something truly unique. Capturing these special moments in other people’s lives, is a great way for me to express myself. You can see my creative nature in the images I produce, both for clients and for myself. My goal in life is to be happy and follow my dreams.
“Anna was so patient and professional with our children. She even managed to get the dog involved! Her personable and relaxed approach make you feel at ease. The photographs we have are wonderful, and we will cherish them forever.”
My style and approach.
Every professional photographer develops their own unique style, which is reflected in the images they create. This style could be dark and moody or classic and timeless. My particular style is natural and relaxed, with a hint of fine art. I try to avoid the harsh light from a flash, and make use of the softer more flattering natural light.
In terms of approach, I like to keep things simple. My goal is to capture people when they are off guard, and at their most relaxed. This is where you find natural emotions: a smile; a tear; laughter. I want to capture these emotions, and preserve them for the future, in the images I create.
My qualifications and experience.
In addition to graduating from Robert Gordon’s University with a BA in photography, I have also spent countless hours developing my skills. Photography is my passion as well as my business, and I am constantly digging deeper and learning more. Rest assured, you are in safe hands.
Before I setup on my own, I was fortunate enough to train under one of Aberdeen’s top photographers, Malcolm Glennie. Serving a two year apprenticeship, I was able to shoot 17 weddings alongside this veteran, and learnt many of the skills required to be an accomplished photographer.
